LoadMatch Logistics Unveils New Brand Name: A.R.C. Transit
Shipping Solutions Company Revs Up for Next Leg of Journey
When LoadMatch Logistics launched operations in 2006, the freight brokerage company set out with plans to modernize the drayage industry. At the time, the group’s customer base consisted of high-volume exporters of forest products, waste paper, scrap metal, scrap plastic, textile waste and agricultural products. LoadMatch Logistics' stakeholders believed the roadmap to success was simple: Provide superior value, service and innovation within a somewhat antiquated intermodal marketplace.
That was nearly 10 years ago. Today, the award-winning LoadMatch Logistics announced a complete brand overhaul – and it comes as the result of many business miles traveled.
“Going forward, we will be known as A.R.C. Transit,” said CEO Gary L. Winstead. “This new name and brand was years in the making, and we’re excited to have arrived at this point. The fact is we’ve grown as a business, progressing in everything we do – from the solutions we provide to the size of our team. We’re not simply ‘Matching Loads’ anymore. We’re a full-service transportation solutions provider.”
The name A.R.C. Transit came to fruition after a thorough branding process, one which produced dozens of possible titles. The group’s stakeholders wanted an identity that ultimately symbolized the breadth of their offerings. In turn, they selected the word “Arc” as a key moniker since it describes an electrical charge between two points. At the same time, its initials match those for the words Accurate, Responsive and Capable – all descriptors that clients apply to the company.
“We really see ourselves as the energy connecting businesses from Point A to Point B – literally and figuratively,” Winstead said. “We’ve always aimed to more efficiently help power the channels of commerce and streamline the international supply chain. A.R.C. Transit speaks to that mission.”
A.R.C. Transit operates three subsidiary trucking operations moving more than 6000 containers per month. These motor carriers are LML Express Inc., 123 Express, and Veterans Express Inc. A.R.C. Transit and its subsidiaries have some 43 employees, with 240 owner operators and terminal operations in seven states.
